INFORMATION ABOUT JoST

JoST is a Journal of the Centre for Research and Development (CERAD), The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). CERAD was founded in 2003 as a non-profit organisation limited by guarantee. All revenue generated by CERAD through its activities is used to fund research. The Centre also receives and manages endowments by philanthropists for the purpose of Research and Development. As part of its mandate in promoting the dissemination of intellectual publications for development, JoST is published, both in print (hard copy) and online.

JoST aims at rapidly promoting the publication and dissemination of:

(i) empirical studies focusing on solving developmental problems confronting developing countries;

(ii) near-market or market-ready technologies, including adaptable, sustainable and transferable technologies and;

(iii) critical review articles on Research and Development (R&D) policies and administration.

The journal is serialised, based on the foci, which relates to:
